What Being a 'Rising Star' Means
To be eligible for inclusion in the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list, an attorney must be 40 or younger or otherwise have practiced law for no more than 10 years. Only 2.5 percent of all lawyers in any given state are named to the Rising Stars list.
Selection as a Rising Star mirrors that of the broader Super Lawyers selection process, which includes an initial nomination, independent research conducted by a third party, panel evaluations, and final selection. The independent research, for instance, covers the Rising Star's verdicts and settlements, experience, representative clients, and other achievements.
